Johann Georg Megerle von Mühlfeld (1780-1831)
Born on 22 July 1780 in Vienna. From 1802 until 1806, initially worked as unpaid curators assistant of the entomological collection of the Natural-Animal Cabinet in Vienna and later became an official in the administration. In 1807, he published the "Mineralogical Pocket Book"
which was practically completed by Andreas Stütz. He was subsequently never again connected with any other mineralogical works. He died on 15 September 1931 in Vienna.
